‘Frozen’, which has Anna and Elsa as the main characters, had its first film released in 2013
The main character of the movie disney ‘Frozen’, Elsa, who was born with the power of ice and snow, is very popular among animated films. The girl, who was based on the villain of the fairy tale Snow Queen, is one of the most relevant within the studio’s animations, being considered even as a heroine.
During the two films in the franchise, Anna’s sister struggles a lot with her identity. Knowing this, among many other factors that characterize the character, RECREIO brought 5 facts about Elsa that don’t make sense. Check below:
1. Relationship with Anna
Anna and Elsa, although they are sisters, have very different behaviors. While Anna is lively and optimistic, Elsa, after a period of fear and isolation, is a quiet and non-extroverted person.
However, Anna, for no reason, has no knowledge about Elsa’s powers, and even after growing up, she remains unaware of this characteristic of her sister.
2. Elsa’s coronation
After Anna and Elsa’s parents die in a ship accident, the main character of the plot automatically becomes the heir to the throne of the kingdom of Arendelle, however, her coronation to become queen was only carried out three years after the occurred, at Elsa’s 21st birthday.
According to speculation, the kingdom may have been ruled by a regent until Elsa was old enough to take up her title.

3. Elsa’s mortality or immortality
With the origin of her powers being a mystery, at the end of the film and the credits roll, Elsa is revealed to be the Fifth Spirit of the Enchanted Forest, thus, she was born to unite the magic of nature and people.
However, with the presence of this Fifth Spirit, there is a chance that she needs to be alive to serve as a bridge between nature and humans, but that is left unspoken.

4. The voice that Elsa listens to
In the second film of the franchise, Elsa hears a mysterious voice and, from that thread, the story unfolds, until she discovers that the voice that was guiding her to the Enchanted Forest and Ahtohallan belonged to the memory of Iduna, her mother.
Elsa hears this voice only in the second film of the franchise due to the evolution of her Fifth Spirit.

5. Elsa’s Gloves
When fleeing from Arendelle, Elsa lets her symbolic gloves fly in the wind, no longer needing to restrict her powers, which is a mystery how she performs this task, let alone hide her true personality. With or without the gloves, Elsa has the power to freeze anything she touches.
