Last Wednesday, the 1st, TWICE was present at the Billboard Women in Music 2023 awards, which honors women in the world music industry, where they received the Breakthrough Artist award. The milestone makes the girl group the first Korean group to receive the award in history.
During Thanksgiving, chaeyeong stated that this was a great way to start the year, and that the moment represents something special for the members.
“This moment has special meaning as the 9 of us are here together in front of our fans who made our dreams come true. The Breakthrough Artist award proves that if you confidently follow your dreams, people will always support you and you will move forward.”
Tzuyu completed the speech of the groupmate saying that “This is an achievement that will always motivate us to break more barriers from now on. We want to express our gratitude to everyone who has been with us on this journey, especially our fans, the ONCEs! And with you by our side, TWICE will continue to move forward!”

Formed in 2015 by JYP Entertainment through the survival program “Sixteen”, TWICE consists of nine members: Naeyeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, healthy, Jihyo, Mine, dahyun, chaeyeoung It is Tzuyu. Their last comeback took place in January 2022, with the song “Moonlight Sunrise”, a pre-release responsible for preceding the debut of the group’s new mini-album “READY TO BE”, which arrives to the public on March 10.
