BLACKPINK’s Jennie will have a “limited” role in ‘The Idol’ series

The new series that will feature Jennie, from BLACKPINK, which is being produced by HBO, ‘The Idol’, may perhaps frustrate fans of the member of the K-pop group, since the artist will have few moments on the scene.

The production, which features names like Sam Levinson It is The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) in the position of showrunners, has jennie and other successful names with minimal prominence, without a very significant part within the production.

To the Uproxx website, a source said that the alleged moments when jennie appears on the show, it was “three or four lines per episode for her”, and although the singer has appeared in trailers and promotional materials for the production, according to the source commented: “They didn’t let her say much. Her job was to sit there [e] look pretty, basically.”

Earlier, in an interview with Elle Magazine, Sam Levinson said that jennie “Watching her learn a complete dance routine in about an hour and then perform it perfectly 10 times in a row was amazing and of course that’s just a small part of her talent and skill.”

Also, the BLACKPINK member said that Levinson It is The Weeknd gave her advice behind the scenes of the recordings: “What he said was to just be me”, and added:

I didn’t try to cook it perfectly, which I really would. I had many conversations with Sam and Abel and I think that helped me. And they just made sure I didn’t have to be so nervous about things.”
