The Russian MP indicated that theaters that did not stop broadcasting the show in Ukraine would be considered “complicit with terrorism.”
The State Duma of the Russian Federation wants to ban the showing of popular Ukrainian TV series. This was reported by RosSMI.
In particular, deputy Dmitry Gusev said that the viewing of Russian film projects such as Servant of the People, Matchmakers, Papik and many others is supported by our state, as cinemas buy the release rights.
“Proceeds from the display of such entertainment content are used to finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine through taxes and voluntary donations, allowing individual citizens of Ukraine to pursue an anti-Russian policy. The rights to this entertainment content belong to the citizens of Ukraine,” said the explanatory note.
So, he urged to scrutinize online cinemas “for the financing of terrorism” and threatened to take steps to stop their broadcasting.
