5 Nostalgic Boomerang Series

Nowadays, the Boomerang channel no longer exists, but it left a legacy with the series it broadcast

Undoubtedly, a success that marked some generations was the Boomerang channel. The channel, which emerged as a spin-off of cartoon Networkwas featured with its series, movies, and cartoons, both old and new that they used to broadcast.

However, after a few years in operation, Boomerang ended its broadcasts here in Latin America, leaving the public with only memories and a feeling of longing.

Knowing this, RECREIO went after 5 nostalgic Boomerang series to try to satisfy a little of that nostalgia left with the end of the channel and the passage of time. Check it out below:

1. ‘Girls in Love’

‘Garotas Apaixonadas’ was one of the series broadcast by the Boomerang channel. The work, which dates back to 2003, was based on the book of the same name, and the production was considered a teen drama series.

In the plot, Lily, Magda and Nadja, three ordinary girls, have a concern that they consider paramount: trying to understand boys.

2. ‘H2O: Mermaid Girls’

Another Boomerang broadcast was the series ‘H2O: Mermaid Girls’ which launched in 2006.

In production, during a boat trip to Mako Island, a mysterious place, Cleo, Drica and Nanda, fall into a cave, and to get out of there, they need to go through a tunnel that is underwater. During this period, strange things happen to the girls, and they even get a mermaid tail.

3. ‘Pillow Club’

The 2003 series was another production that marked generations and was broadcast by the network.

‘Clube do Travesseiro’ was based on a series of children’s books by the author Rose Impeyand its plot portrays the story of five girls who belong to a club where the girls usually get together in one of the houses, at least, once a week.

4. ‘Rebel’

Another success that was broadcast by the channel was the original Mexican series on Televisa ‘Rebelde’.

The 2004 production takes place at a school, the Elite Way School, which enjoys international prestige. The school, which aims to prepare upper-class teenagers to have a good education and thus be prepared for a bright future, has few students reaching the end of graduation, considering that some students at the school are persecuted by a secret society called La Logia (The Sect), which aims to preserve the purity of the privileged class.

It is noteworthy that ‘Rebelde’, in addition to other versions, was also broadcast on other stations here in Brazil.

5. ‘Pretty Little Liars’

‘Pretty Little Liars’ has been a phenomenon since its release in 2010.

In the plot, which was broadcast on Boomerang, Alison mysteriously disappears, causing the other girls, four in total, to believe that their secrets are safe. However, a year after the disappearance of the young girl, the girls begin to receive threatening messages from someone called “A”, which generates some uncertainty in their minds.
