Jennifer Lopez has something to say about the countless memes teasing Ben Affleck for looking bored at last weekend’s 2023 Grammy Awards.
The singer and actor appeared to address all the fuss surrounding her husband’s behavior at the awards ceremony in an Instagram post on Thursday promoting the upcoming Nike film she’s directing, titled “Air.”
Lopez shared the trailer for the new film, but added a text overlay to a photo of Affleck — who looked quite amused — at the start of the clip. “My husband’s happy face,” it read.
The “Marry Me” actor’s attempt to set the record straight about Affleck’s facial expressions came just days after he became one of the most memorable stars at the Grammys.
Affleck was captured in several photos and videos of the event looking bored and in some cases showing miserable for many viewers at home.
Some videos even captured Affleck and Lopez appearing to chat on camera.
But Affleck is no stranger to being remembered; the actor endured several years of watching videos of his facial expressions being used for pranks online.
Last year, he told the Los Angeles Times that he thought some of the “Sad Affleck” memes were funny, but worried that his kids would think “their dad is basically sad.”
