Donald Trump, who has been called “the dog of hope,” is now permanently on the Congressional Record, and Seth Meyers can’t help but chuckle that it’s all the former president’s fault.
The sentence was handed down Wednesday during a House Oversight Committee hearing on what GOP members say is Twitter’s left-wing bias in its censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story.
Underscoring Republican hypocrisy, Democrats asked former Twitter executive Anika Collier Navaroli about a 2019 incident involving the Trump White House’s attempt to get Twitter to remove a derogatory tweet by model Chrissy Teigen.
Navaroli read the text of Teigen’s tweet into the recording: “Excuse my language, this is a direct quote, but Chrissy Teigen referred to Donald Trump as a ‘whore.’
“I’m glad that Donald Trump being called a bitch is now an official part of the Congressional Record, and only because he complained about it,” Meyers joked on “Late Night” Thursday.
