Can you imagine The Incredibles without the Syndrome? Or SA Monsters without Boo? Check out 5 plots that were discarded by Pixar
Beloved around the world, Pixar films have plots that have become classics in animation history — but that wasn’t always the case. Even during its production period, several stories should have a plot very different from what we know today, but they ended up being discarded.
Check out five Pixar storylines that were scrapped!
1. The Incredibles
During the first film, the Pêra family must face all the threats created by the villain Syndrome, a former Mister Incredible fan who was disappointed with the idol and rebelled against him and his family. However, Pixar initially had no plans to turn the character into the main villain, and would only place him in one scene in the feature.
2. Toy Story 2
In Toy Story 2, Stinky Pete would not be the only villain in the production. In the original story, he would have the help of another character called Señorita Cactus, a toy cactus who would also have the intention of destroying Woody.
3. playfully
The great protagonists of Fun are Riley’s five emotions: Joy, Disgust, Sadness, Anger and Fear. The great curiosity is that, in the beginning, the studio planned to put 27 emotions in the film.
4. SA Monsters
In order to generate power for the entire city of Monstropolis, the employees of Monsters Inc. must collect the screams of human children. However, the initial plot of the film would be totally different. The feature would tell the story of a grown man who was haunted by the monsters he didn’t face in his childhood.
5. Zootopia
Zootopia… in an amusement park? Yes! One of the film’s discarded plots would feature Nick creating his own amusement park, which would be called “Wild Time”, and would be a free place for everyone to have fun.
