My mood at the moment?
Exhausted with joy. Releasing my first film, writing my second, and acting all at the same time explains why I’m exhausted, but also happy with what’s going on with me.

my movie Amore Mio
… is a women’s story, because it is the actresses, especially those of Italian cinema, who have always moved me. Telling the story of a sibling inspires me because I find that our place in the family never changes; the youngest will always be the youngest of his siblings. Separated for years, my two heroines should get to know each other in adulthood.

“I wrote for Alison Paradis. draw the person i love”

My actresses.
I wrote for Alisson Paradis. to shoot the man I love and because her great femininity combined with her bad boy side appeals to me. As for Elodie Bouchez, I wanted her to bring her sweetness, kindness and fantasy to her character, Margot, a woman who seems a bit stern.

What were my inspirations?
I was brought up on John Cassavetes films, so I think I was subconsciously inspired by the idea that the characters are the subject of the film. I watched a lot too american honey by Andrea Arnold (even if my film is less shocking) as well as realistic portraits by Nan Goldin.

Jokes about my movie?
You might recognize my voice in the scene and spot a few nods to people I love, like Vanessa Paradis (Alison’s sister, editor’s note) and artist Ines Longevial…

Best and worst partners.
As an actor, the best directors are those who do this work out of a need to create. However, this urgency is not only in the so-called “author” cinema. i feel it with both claire dennis and alain sabbath.

People think I’m bad because I’ve been in thrillers

Guillaume Guy

An opinion that makes me happy.
I get excited when people say I’m honest because I don’t seem to lie or hide much in life.

The question I don’t answer in the interview.
I avoid questions about my personal life as much as possible because I am surrounded by a family that is the victim of this media coverage.

Is there a misunderstanding about me?
People think I’m a badass because I’ve been in thrillers, but I’m a real badass.

Last time I was proud of myself?
It may sound a little naive, but I’m proud of myself when I feel like I’m a good father to my two boys.

My projects?
I turn around La Rosalie, by Stephanie DiGiusto about the story of the bearded woman, in which I play an odious character with Nadia Tereshkevich and Benoit Magimel. I shot too Polar parkseries for Arte, with Jean Paul Roux, adapted Pupupidooa film we made together ten years ago.

What am I going to do after this interview?
I’m going to delve into the Caesars movie box to see on the night of the 12th By Dominic Moll and Smoking causes cough By Quentin Dupierre.

Amore Mio, by Guillaume Gu, with Alison Paradis, Elodie Bouches and Viggo Ferreira-Redier. Currently in cinemas.
