“Hunger” singer and actor Irene Cara died of hardening of the arteries, according to medical records obtained Thursday by TMZ.
Cara died at her home in Florida in November at the age of 63.
Cara, best known for her Oscar-winning song “Flashdance…What a Feeling” from the 1983 film “Flashdance,” had high cholesterol and high blood pressure, TMZ said based on the County Coroner’s report. Pinellas, Florida.
The official cause of death was listed as “arteriosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease,” the website said. Cara also had diabetes.

Cara was withdrawn in her later years, and a neighbor who repeatedly tried to befriend the artist said Cara told him she had health problems, the New York Post reported.
Cara’s publicist and medical examiner did not immediately respond to a HuffPost request for comment.
