Check out the categories BTS and BLACKPINK are up for at the 2023 Kids Choice Awards
Last Tuesday, the 31st, Nickelodeon finally revealed the list of nominees for this year’s edition of the Kids’ Choice Awards, the network’s classic award, scheduled to take place on March 4, in Los Angeles, in the United States.
Among the competitors, the South Korean groups BLACKPINK and BTS are present in the “Favorite Music Group” category, where they compete for the prize alongside names like Paramore, Black Eyed Peas, OneRepublic, 5 Seconds of Summer, Imagine Dragons and Panic! At The Disco.
In addition, BLACKPINK also appears in the competition in the category of “Favorite Global Music Star” representing Asia, where the following artists are also nominated: wizkid (Africa), Taylor Swift (North America), harrystyles (UK), TonesandI (Australia) and badBunny (Latin America).
So far, YG Entertainment and BigHit Music, the companies responsible for BLACKPINK and BTS, respectively, have yet to comment on the members’ presence at the awards.
Formed in the year 2016, BLACKPINK is composed of Jisoo, jennie, rosé It is Lisa. The girlgroup’s most recent comeback took place in September 2022, with the track “SHUT DOWN”, the title track of the group’s second full-album, “BORN PINK”. Check out!
