The trailer for the military action-drama Mirny-21 about the exploits of Luhansk border guards has been released. This is a new film directed by Akhtem Seitabayev. The video was posted on YouTube.
The tape will be released in Ukrainian cinemas on February 22 this year. His last film role was played by actor Pasha Li, who died in the Kiev region due to the Russian war in March 2022.
“This film is important for us. We dedicate this film to the late Pasha Li, who played Captain Osiris in our film, and whose role was the last. We dedicate it to all the soldiers who fought for the freedom and independence of Ukraine in the last 8 years. To all defenders and defenders of our country, who changed their lives for the sake of our peaceful future,” said the director.
The name comes from the name of the Mirny quarter in Luhansk, and the number of the house where the Luhansk border detachment is located.
Filming took place in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, including the territory of the Vasilkov military unit. This object was destroyed by the conquerors in the first days of the war.
It will be remembered that the documentary film House of Splinters by Simon Lereng Vilmont, created with the support of the State Film Agency of Ukraine, was nominated for an Oscar.
