Jennifer Coolidge made her TikTok debut in a cheeky video on Friday alongside her “Shotgun Wedding” co-star Jennifer Lopez.
“Hi, this is my first TikTok and I was trying to think of something cool to do,” said Coolidge, whose role on HBO’s “The White Lotus” recently won him a Golden Globe. “I think I’ll just do a poem that I like.”
While some might have expected a work by William Shakespeare, Walt Whitman or Robert Frost to fall from his lips, Coolidge proceeded to carefully recite the lyrics to J. Lo’s famous 2002 song, “Jenny From the Block,” without getting excited at all. .
“Don’t let the stones we have fool you,” Coolidge said. “I’m still Jenny. Jenny. Block Jenny.
His delivery was followed by a general introduction to Lopez herself, who was with Coolidge throughout and thanked the actor for his beautiful reading.
“I love it,” the singer said. “I really, really like it.”
The Jennifers have already spoken directly to fans together. Earlier this week, Lopez shared a video with her 232 million Instagram followers showing the pair attending the Los Angeles premiere of “Shotgun Wedding,” with husband Ben Affleck also making a cameo appearance in the clip.
The new film originally featured Armie Hammer as Lopez’s boyfriend, but allegations of sexual assault forced him to leave the project. The comedy, from “Pitch Perfect” director Jason Moore, revolves around a marriage gone wrong.
While Lopez recently celebrated a lavish return to the spotlight with a glamorous wedding and a new album, Coolidge had the biggest moment of her career. At the Golden Globes, she warmly thanked those who have “kept me going” over the years.
“You have changed my life in a million different ways,” Mike White, creator of “White Lotus,” said during his speech. “My neighbors talk to me, stuff like that. … I’ve never been invited to a party on my hill, and now everyone’s inviting me!”
