‘Bad Guys’ Repeats In No. 1, Liam Neeson’s Latest Mistake –

DreamWorks animated heist movie “Bad Boys” On Sunday, this studio rated the best consecutive film in U.S. and Canadian theaters for the second consecutive weekend, and Liam Neeson’s latest thriller suggested that the unique the actor’s ability is embarrassing to the public.

Bad Boys, released by Universal Pictures, raised $ 16.1 million in its second ticket sale over the weekend, up from just 33% last weekend. The film, adapted from Aaron Blebe’s graphic novel for children, helped activate family cinema.

Films in April were primarily dominated by Paramount Pictures’ “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” – which remained in second place with $ 11.4 million, for a total of $ 160.9 million – and “Bad Guys” with $ 44.4 million inside of two weeks.

Neeson’s latest thriller, “Memory,” however, is often forgotten by viewers. The R-rated version of Open Road-Briarcliffe Entertainment grossed approximately $ 3.1 million at 2,555 locations. This is very much in line with the latest Neeson films. Over the past two years, Blacklight ($ 3.5 million debut), Honest Thief ($ 4.1 million), and Marsman ($ 3.1 million) have both opened.

Neeson’s latest thriller to hit is Cold Chase 2019, which debuted at $ 11 million and eventually grossed $ 62.6 million worldwide. But due to excessive saturation or insufficient reception (“the memory” has a “new“ 30% rating on Rotten Tomatoes ”), the previously reliable cash registers have cooled.

“The photos were taken before the Neeson Crime Pandemic, including the hit series‘ Taken, ’but viewers are less interested now,” David A. Gross, who heads film consultancy FranchiseRe, wrote in the Bulletin. “The film business is improving, but ‘memory’, ‘black light’ and ‘shooter’ are hitting the wall.”

Eighth Place Memory is the only extensive new release on a quiet weekend in theaters ahead of the release of Marvel’s Doctor Strange in Multiverse of Madness on Friday. The release of Walt Disney Co. will begin the Hollywood summer season, which the industry expects to approach pre-pandemic levels.

Last week, the studios released their summer papers at the CinemaCon industry convention, raising expectations for high -budget films like “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Jurassic World Dominion”.

The brightest spot in theaters currently remains “Everything Everywhere At Once” which dropped just 2% to $ 5.5 million in its sixth week of release. The film, an existential action meta-comedy starring Michelle Yeo, has unusually long legs in theaters and, with a turnover of $ 35.5 million so far, is one of the biggest hits of independent studio A24.

According to Comscore, ticket sales are estimated Friday through Sunday in theaters in the U.S. and Canada. The final internal data will be published on Monday.
