This week, Rob Gronkowski asked Tom Brady if he wanted to play for his ’80 for Brady’ co-star Sally Field.
In a quiet exchange between former NFL teammates on the podcast “Let’s Go!” the great Gronkowski suggested Field could be a good matchup at quarterback.
Brady is now divorced and has time on his hands after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost a playoff game to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday. (The “Let’s Go!” segment aired before the game.) The free agent also appears to be a free agent on the dating scene.
Gronkowski praised Brady’s role in “80 for Brady” and asked an intriguing question:
“Tom, did you think about dating Sally Field after that Oscar performance or what?”
Brady admitted that he and the “Places of Hearts” star “had something going on on set. We had a lot of fun together, so we’ll see where it goes from here.”
“Yeah, I noticed,” Gronk replied.
Brady noted that Gronk seemed to have chemistry with Jane Fonda in the locker room exchange in the film. “I think you and Jane Fonda had a great scene too, which was really hot,” Brady said. “I was glad to see.”
But Fonda’s heart may be elsewhere. She said her “knees went weak” when she first met Brady.
As for Field, he could be a tough customer. When asked which co-star in his career he kissed the worst, he said the late Burt Reynolds, who was also a longtime lover.
“80 for Brady” stars Fonda, Field, Rita Moreno and Lily Tomlin as Brady-obsessed seniors who plan to attend the 2017 Super Bowl, where the quarterback leads the New England Patriots to an epic comeback victory over Atlanta Falcons. Brady is also producing the comedy, which will be released on February 3.
Brady and his legendary teammates have seven Super Bowl rings and five Academy Awards between them.
