Prince Harry opened up about his relationship with stepmother Queen Camilla in a new interview on “Good Morning America” that aired Monday.
“I have a lot of compassion for her, you know, being the third person in my parents’ marriage,” the Duke of Sussex said during a press break to promote his memoir, Spare, which is officially released on Tuesday.
He added that he and Camilla “haven’t spoken in a long time”.
“I love every member of my family, despite their differences. So when I see her, we feel perfect with each other,” she said with a smile. “She is my stepmother. I don’t see her as a bad stepmother.”
“I see someone who married into this institution and went out of his way to improve his reputation and image for the sake of it,” he continued.

The king gave an update on his relationship with his father, King Charles, and brother, Prince William, during an interview with Anderson Cooper for “60 Minutes,” which aired Sunday.
“Are you talking to William now? Are you texting?” Cooper asked.
“Not at the moment,” Harry replied. “But I’m looking forward – I can’t wait to find peace.”
“How long has it been since you spoke?” Cooper said.
“A little,” replied the Duke of Sussex. He gave a similar answer when asked about communication with his father. “We… haven’t spoken in a while. No, not recently.
When Cooper asked if the “rift” between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and the rest of the royal family could be healed, the Duke replied “absolutely”.

“The ball is definitely in their court,” he explained. “Meghan and I have kept saying we will apologize openly for anything we’ve done wrong, but every time we ask that question, no one gives us details or anything. There needs to be a constructive conversation that can take place in private and not leak out.”
