Russian Soyuzmultfilm has announced the release of a Russian alternative to Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings. This was reported by the Russian newspaper.
According to the chairman of the board of directors of the studio, Yuliana Slasheva, the projects have already been developed.
“We have several animated feature films in development that will create new characters based on books that children have already written and read. This is our answer to Harry Potter, the Lord of the Rings, Marvel and Supermen,” said he.
Slashcheva also said that it was an order from the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to popularize the heroes of domestic folklore.
It is known that one of the answers to Western cinema about superheroes is a full-length animated film about a “real hero”, but his identity has not yet been revealed.
Also, cartoons based on a series of books by Yulia Ivanova “Secrets of the Enchantment” are being prepared. According to the plot, these are stories about the adventures of an orphan in a magical world.
Recall that Soyuzmultfilm previously announced the shooting of a new film about Cheburashka.
It has also been reported that the film studio Soyuzmultfilm wants to sue Japan for the rights to use the image of Cheburashka.
