Kelly Rizzo, the widow of “Full House” star Bob Saget, reminded her followers to “cherish every moment” in an emotional Instagram post about her first Christmas without him.
Rizzo, who married the late comedian in 2018, reflected on the couple’s first vacation together in the same city in 2021, just weeks before the star’s death in January.
Saget, who died on January 9 at the age of 65, was found unconscious in a hotel room in Orlando, Florida, after performing stand-up the night before.
Saget’s death was the result of blunt force trauma to the head from injuries he sustained most likely from an “unwitnessed fall,” a medical examiner said.
Rizzo, in her post, reflected on the couple’s Christmas together in Chicago last year, as they spent time with her family, including stepdaughter Lara, 2-year-old granddaughter Alex, and 2-week-old granddaughter Brooklyn.
“Alex still remembers ‘Uncle Bob’ and talks about him every day. It certainly left a lasting impression that I am so grateful for. But Bob did it to everyone he met,” Rizzo wrote.
“The holidays are a time of hope, love and togetherness. I pray that if you are missing a loved one this holiday season, you will be blessed with many deep loving memories and gratitude to get you through it,” she continued. “As I said earlier, I am so grateful to have had that incredible man in my life and to have been in his for 6 years. There is no greater Christmas present than this…”
