Jack Dorsey Says Elon Musk Is ‘The Singular Solution’ For Twitter –

Jack Dorsey, co-founder and former CEO of Twitter, said Elon Musk’s $ 44 billion acquisition of the social media company was the “right way.”

“In principle, I don’t think anyone should have or run Twitter,” Dorsey wrote Monday night. “It wants to be a public good at the protocol level, not a company. However, solving the problem of being Elon’s company is the only solution I trust. I believe in its mission to expand the light of awareness.”

Dorsey, who now heads digital payment company Block, formerly known as Square, has pledged to help secure Twitter.

“Twitter, as a company, has always been my problem and my biggest regret,” he wrote. “It’s owned by Wall Street and the advertising model. His return from Wall Street is the right first step.

He also thanked Musk and current Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal for “leaving the company in an impossible situation.”

On April 5, before Musk decided to join the Twitter board, Dorsey tweeted that he was “happy” to meet Musk as a director.

“He’s very interested in our world and the role of Twitter in it,” Dorsey wrote on Twitter. “Both Paraguay and Elon are driving wholeheartedly and will be an incredible team.”

“I love how @elonmusk uses Twitter,” Dorsey said. “He is focused on solving existing problems and openly sharing his thoughts. I have a lot of respect for this and all the ups and downs that follow.”

Dorsey stepped down as CEO of Twitter in November, saying he wanted the company to “remove its founder and co -founder”. He named Agravil as his successor.

“I have deep trust in him as our CEO,” Dorsey wrote at the time.

Agrawal did not mention Musk in his tweet commenting on the deal and instead chose to praise Twitter employees.

“Twitter has a purpose and relevance that affects the whole world,” Agrawal wrote.

At a full Twitter staff meeting following the announcement, Agrawal acknowledged a period of uncertainty.

“From now until the end … we will continue to make decisions, as always, following the principles we have,” Agravl said, according to a recording of the call. Received by CNN. “It doesn’t mean that everything won’t change, everything has changed”.
