In particular, a seven-figure sum in national currency was transferred to the initiative on the UNITED24 fundraising platform to create protection against cruise missiles fired by Russian terrorists from the Black Sea, the bank’s press service reported.
“Since the beginning of the Russian military aggression against Ukraine, we have maintained a profitable monthly activity, increased the number of jobs and opened almost 30 new branches. Now we are working on opening a branch of Accordbank in Kherson in near future. This is our professional response to the enemy. But the main result of the Accordbank team is a systematic and regular support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” commented Aleksey Rudnev, Chairman of the Board of Accordbank, who commented on participating in the creation of a fleet of drones.
The bank’s press service also clarified that earlier their financial institution provided financial assistance to Sergei Prytula’s fund for the acquisition of RAM II UAV kamikaze drones, as well as the transfer of armored vehicles and pickup trucks to various unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It was previously reported that in the first five months of operation of the United24 fundraising platform, almost $200 million in contributions were received to help Ukraine. With this money, they bought about 1,000 drones for the military and thousands of pieces of medical equipment.
