72% of the grain harvest was harvested in Ukraine

Ukrainian farmers harvested grain and leguminous crops on an area of ​​8 million hectares (72%) with a yield of 40.7 centners per hectare and threshed 32.6 million tons of grain. This was reported on November 4 by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

It was noted that the harvest of wheat, barley, peas and rapeseed was 100% completed. Buckwheat and millet were eliminated by 95%, corn by 27%.

Sunflower is harvested in 87% of the area, soybeans – in 85%. Sugar beet is dug up by 73%.

The harvest of wheat in the current season reached 19.4 million tons from 4.7 million hectares, barley – 5.6 million tons from 1.6 million hectares, rapeseed – 3.2 million tons from 1.1 million hectares, peas – 261 thousand tons from 111.5 thousand hectares

As of November 4, 151 thousand tons of buckwheat, 6.3 million tons of corn, 98 thousand tons of millet, 9 million tons of sunflower seeds, 3.1 million tons of soybeans and 6.4 million tons of sugar beet were also harvested.

Most of all buckwheat was harvested in the Zhytomyr region (29.6 thousand tons), barley – in the Odesa region (833 thousand tons), sunflower – in the Kirovohrad region (1.3 million tons). Khmelnytsky region (380 thousand tons) is the leader in soybean harvesting, Vinnytsia region (1.9 million tons) is the leader in sugar beet harvesting.

The highest yield of grain and leguminous crops is in the Khmelnytsky region – 62.2 centners per hectare.
