The Cabinet of Ministers was satisfied with the statement of the chairman of the board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Yuriy Vitrenko about his dismissal.
The Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Yuriy Vitrenko from the position of head of the board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine. This was announced by People’s Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko on Facebook on Tuesday, November 1.
“The Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Yuriy Vitrenko. The new head of Naftogaz is likely to be Alexei Chernyshev, Minister of Regional Development,” Goncharenko wrote.
Later, he added that the Cabinet of Ministers made such a decision unanimously.
“This indicates that Vitrenko was fired not because of the results, but because of the political will,” added the people’s representative.
In this regard, Naftogaz confirmed the information about the dismissal of Vitrenko.
“The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, by its decision dated November 01, 2022, satisfied the application of the chairman of the board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Yuriy Vitrenko for dismissal. Yuriy Vitrenko will continue to hold the position of head of the national company until November 3, 2022 inclusive,” the company said in a statement.
Earlier on Tuesday, the media reported that Yuriy Vitrenko may leave Naftogaz. He is said to have written a letter of resignation.
