Not only is the enemy trying to strike the energy infrastructure, but the economic activity in the country is also paralyzed.

Ukrainian economic losses from large-scale air alerts amount to at least 7.5 billion hryvnias a day. This was announced by the head of the finance committee of the Verkhovna Rada Danil Getmantsev on Facebook on Monday, October 31.

“It is clear that by striking our country on Monday morning, when people go to work, the enemy is not only trying to strike the energy infrastructure, but also paralyze economic activity,” he wrote.

According to him, losses from continuous large alarms during the working day amount to at least UAH 7.5 billion losses for GDP.

Getmantsev believes that it is impossible to “give the enemy this money that we desperately need.”

“Therefore, it is important to organize the work of both the public and private sectors of the economy remotely / during non-working hours / on weekends in a way that not only compensates for the downtime, but also ensures the production of the products necessary for success. ,” summed up the town representative.

Earlier, the NBU said that economic activity is stabilizing in Ukraine. At the same time, the threat of a protracted war increases the medium and long-term risks of economic development.

It is also reported that for three quarters of this year, the fall in GDP in Ukraine is estimated at 30%.
