Due to the shelling of the invaders, five power plants of the company were damaged, some of them stopped working.
After the rocket strikes by the Russian invaders, several thermal power plants of DTEK completely stopped their work. Dmitry Sakharuk, Executive Director of DTEK, spoke about the damage to the company’s infrastructure during the telethon.
“As for the damage, it is significant. Several stations stopped working. It took a very long time to recover. The damage was severe,” he said.
Overall, as a result of shelling, five TPPs of the company were damaged. Power engineers are working to restore the damaged facilities as soon as possible.
Sakharuk also said that the invaders destroy not only the generation facilities, but also the centers that allow the transfer of electricity produced in the TPPs to the final consumer.
“The shelling is carried out by power engineers from Russia. That is, there the military receives clear advice from Inter RAO or Rosseti on the exact place where to strike and how to destroy the Ukrainian energy system ,” the director of DTEK was sure.
It will be remembered that on October 10-11, the Russian invaders carried out a massive blow to the energy infrastructure facilities, which led to a lack of power in the energy system. Power plants and major substations were destroyed. In particular, three DTEK power plants were shelled. At the same time, Ladyzhynska TPP was fired twice a day.
Due to the lack of power system capacity in Ukraine, rolling blackouts have started to be introduced.
