“Today our state received another tranche from the European Union aimed at maintaining the stability of the Ukrainian economy. An additional financial resource will help cover urgent budget expenses, especially in the social and humanitarian fields ,” said the prime minister.
These funds are the first part of a package of 5 billion euros.
Shmyhal added that in general this year Ukraine received 4.2 billion euros of macro-financial assistance from the EU, which significantly helped to strengthen the economic front of the state.
Ukraine received $1.3 billion in additional IMF financing last week.
Until the end of the year, Ukraine expects 3 billion euros from the EU and 4.5 billion dollars from the United States.
