The Michigan state Democratic senator gave a passionate response after a fellow Republican accused him of promoting pedophilia and repeated common right-wing rhetoric.

In a subsequent speech, McMurro mentioned his own upbringing, saying he was taught from an early age to recognize his privilege and understood that working in the public service means empathy for the marginalized, with the goal that people. [and] “Those with less, are often unfair.”
