Ukraine exported 20.2 million tons of grain crops worth $5.22 billion in the eight months of 2022, the National Research Center Institute of Agrarian Economics reported on Tuesday, October 4.

According to published data, exports decreased by a quarter compared to the same period last year, while income decreased by 18%.
Thus, in eight months, 15.1 million tons of corn for $3.8 billion, 4.1 million tons of wheat for $1.2 billion and 0.8 million tons of barley for $0.2 billion were delivered.
China remains the main exporter of Ukrainian agricultural products, whose share in total exports reached 14.4% ($749 million). Next in terms of exports are: Romania (13.9%), Turkey (9.6%), Egypt (7.7%), Spain (7%), Poland (6.8%), Netherlands (4.3%), Iran (3.1% ) and Hungary (3%).
These countries bring about 70% of the income from the total export of grain crops from Ukraine.
It should be noted that in September, Ukraine exported 6.9 million tons of agricultural products, bringing the monthly export volume to the pre-war level.
