Russian users will be able to download their personal data and delete their account.
Russians can no longer use the streaming music service Spotify. This was announced on Monday, April 18, by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov in the Telegram.
“Spotify is no longer available in the App Store and Google Play for users from Russia. The service was officially launched in the Russian Federation on July 15, 2020,” Fedorov wrote.
Earlier it was reported that the Spotify service has decided to leave the Russian market. In this case, users will have the opportunity to download their personal data and delete the account.
Spotify is an online audio streaming service (streaming service) that lets you listen to music legally and for free.
It was also learned that the American film company Paramount will stop broadcasting its TV channels in Russia on April 20, reports vc.ru.
Paramount includes entertainment and family channels: Paramount Comedy, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., NickToons, as well as music channels, including MTV Russia and MTV Live HD.
Paramount announced the suspension of activities in the Russian Federation in mid -March. Earlier, Discovery made the same decision – the company stopped broadcasting 15 cable channels, including the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet.
Note that more than 600 large foreign companies left Russia because of the war unleashed against Ukraine.
And by the end of March, it was found out that in Russia was officially allowed to steal intellectual property. The country’s authorities hope that it will guarantee the import of goods into the Russian Federation “despite the unfriendly actions of foreign politicians.”
