At the beginning of the war, Metinvest enterprises specialized in the production of steel plates for the production of body armor.

The Lviv Defense Cluster received more than 500 tons of steel sheets from Metinvest for the production of body armor for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Steel products were provided to the plants free of charge as part of Rinat Akhmetov’s Steel Front initiative.

It was noted that LOK specialists made a significant part of the 80,000 bulletproof vests transferred to the military from Metinvest-SMC armored steel.

Overall, LOK plans to produce at least 100,000 body armor.

As you know, Metinvest enterprises mastered the production of armor plates for bulletproof vests at the beginning of the war.

Metinvest also provides the Ukrainian military with special shelters.

In just six months of the war, Metinvest sent more than UAH 1.9 billion to help Ukraine and Ukrainians. In addition to protective ammunition, the company supplies the military with fuel, cars, drones, thermal imagers, medicines, etc.
