DTEK mines managed to maintain coal production at last year’s level, due to the lack of imports, the company started deliveries to Centrenergo.

Rinat Akhmetov’s DTEK began supplying coal to state thermal power plants for the heating season. Ildar Saleev, General Director of DTEK Energy, spoke about it.

“The coming winter is a challenge for all of us… One of our contributions today is to support the state’s generation with coal from our own production. It, like all of us, has suffered greatly from the war. Therefore, the coal mining enterprises of DTEK Energy provide fuel not only for their own thermal power plants, which is a priority, but find an opportunity to support and provide additional volumes for the needs of TPP Centrenergo, ” wrote Saleev.

According to him, the first batch for the state thermal power plants will be 50 thousand tons of coal, it has already been shipped.

It should be noted that despite the war, DTEK mines maintained coal production last year.

In preparation for the heating season, DTEK Energy will repair 26 power units of thermal power plants. For seven months, more than one billion hryvnias were spent on repairs.
