Deputies today in the first reading supported the bill on the return of excise taxes on fuel, which will affect several sectors of the economy.
The Federation of Employers of Ukraine has appealed to the Verkhovna Rada with an appeal not to return excise taxes on diesel fuel, which will lead to inflation and unemployment. This is stated in a letter from the FRU to the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danil Getmantsev, Censor.net writes.
Deputies were reminded that diesel is a strategic position for many sectors of the economy: mining and heavy industry, agriculture, Ukrzaliznytsia and others.
“The increase in the cost of diesel due to the return of the excise tax will lead to a further increase in the railway tariff and the cost of freight transportation on roads, an increase in the cost of industrial and agricultural products, and an increase in inflation, which threatens the activity of the entire industry and is at risk of maintaining jobs,” – emphasized in the federation.
In this regard, the authorities urged not to return the excise taxes on diesel.
Today, the parliament adopted in the first reading a bill that sets the excise tax on diesel and gasoline at 100 euros per thousand liters, and on autogas – 52 euros.
