He recalled that the Verkhovna Rada has already made changes to the budget for borrowing five times and plans to change it again by voting in favor of a loan for Naftogaz.
According to him, after this decision, the planned borrowing will increase to 1.488 trillion Hryvnia (that is, 2.6 times more than before the war).
The maximum volume of the state budget deficit will increase to UAH 1.106 trillion. “5.9 times more than the peacetime plan in the first version of the 2022 budget,” the town representative clarified.
And the maximum amount of public debt in the amount of up to UAH 3.64 trillion has increased by 33.7% since the beginning of 2022.
According to the Ministry of Finance, since the beginning of the war, the financing of the state budget has reached 805.3 billion Hryvnia, or $ 26.95 billion (as of the beginning of August – ed.). External receipts amounted to $13.87 billion or 51% of the total fund.
