Accounts Chamber warns of paralysis for more than 2,000 jobs across the country

Corruption and the horrendous development of previous surveys to carry out the work has paralyzed 2,346 construction sites across the country.

“We have a huge structural problem because in 2021, the year of the biggest investment boom in our country, the public sector was only able to spend 40 billion Singapore dollars. The public investment system is in disarray. We need to stop and order,” he said.
Nearly 1,800 jobs paralyzed in April

In April, the executive branch announced 1,770 paralyzed infrastructure projects across the country. What is a work break?

According to the bill, paralyzed community work is work that has been contracted under the Public Procurement Law. and has a physical promotion equal to or greater than 40%.

Except social work paralyzed must meet the following assumptions: the contract must be in force but without a record of physical performance for six months or more, or it may be terminated by the contract or declared void.

The bill establishes that the National Multiannual Program and Investment Management System should prepare a list of paralyzed public works, which can be constantly updated.
