The main suppliers of new cars to Ukraine in the first half of the year were China, Japan and Romania.
For the six months of 2022, the value of importing cars to Ukraine reached almost $1.7 billion, the Ukravtoprom Association reports, citing the State Statistics Service on Friday, August 19.

In total, 304,083 passenger cars were imported into the country. Of this number, only 18,323 vehicles or 6% were new, while 285,760 (94%) were used.
$363.3 million was spent on new vehicles, and the customs value of used vehicles reached more than $1.3 billion.
The main suppliers of new passenger cars to Ukraine are China (6,710), Japan (2,382) and Romania (1,476).
Used cars were bought more often in Germany (118,758), France (31,206) and Poland (20,715).
Recall that in Ukraine the demand for new cars has been growing for two months in a row. According to the results of July, the registration of new passenger cars increased by 26% compared to June – 3,648 cars.
At the same time, the registration of used cars decreased by 16%. In July, almost 45.8 thousand of these vehicles were added to the Ukrainian fleet.
