Akhmetov said that despite economic losses and the crisis, SCM enterprises paid 1.2 billion euros in taxes in the first half of 2022. Akhmetov himself, as an individual, transferred about 40 million euros (1.8 billion hryvnias) in the state budget last year.
He noted the complexity of the tasks facing the state.
“Victory on the external front in the war with Putin’s Russia and victory on the internal front in reforms and accession to the EU. President Zelensky’s statements clearly say that he, like the whole country, aims to win the two this field. It should be noted that since the beginning of the war, Akhmetov’s businesses, his charitable foundation and FC Shakhtar have transferred UAH 3 billion to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine and citizens affected by the war.
