More than a quarter of all grain exported from Ukraine by sea for half a month was bought by Turkey.
The main importer of Ukrainian food along the grain corridor is Turkey, Anadolu writes.
For the 15 days of August, Turkey accounted for 26% of the total transport volume (146.4 thousand tons).
In total, in the first half of August, 21 dry cargo ships left Ukrainian ports with 563,000 tons of grain and other food products.
Also, the main importers of Ukrainian agricultural products are Iran and South Korea – 22% each (123.8 thousand tons), as well as China (8%, 45 thousand tons), Ireland (6%, 33.7 thousand tons), Italy (5% , 28 thousand tons), Djibouti (4%, 22.5 thousand tons) and Romania (2%, 10.6 thousand tons).
Earlier, the Administration of the Sea Ports of Ukraine reported that a caravan of five vessels was expected to enter the port of Chornomorsk in the Odessa region.
According to media reports, there are not enough ships to transport Ukrainian grains, and most of what can be exported does not go to the countries in distress.
