Legendary talk show host Jerry Springer and his collection of guests crying, shouting, arguing and swearing were preparing for Donald Trump, he said in an interview Friday.
The behavior of his colorful parade of guests is “exactly the same as Donald Trump’s,” Springer told SiriusXM presenter Dean Obaidala. But “it makes sense not to vote in the presidential election,” he added, dead.
Springer answered Obeidala’s question about the impact of his tabloid TV talk show, which ran from 1991 to 2018, and blew up the expected share of television visitors. (His podcast, which began in 2015, continues.)
“Do you see the benefit to the success of the Jerry Springer Show … and how people watch TV and what they allow people to do to get rid of people?” Obedala asked. “Do you think, to some degree … did it contribute to people’s acceptance of someone like Donald Trump?”
Springer replied: “Probably more social media, but yes, there’s no question. The behavior of some people on the show is exactly that of Donald Trump. The reason I have more respect for the people on my schedule is that they have enough common sense not to vote in the presidential election.
She said her guests were “emotional” and did not speak “the Queen’s English”. When they get angry,… “You swear and shout, sometimes they fight; They do not have the skills to solve problems in different ways. “This is Trump,” Springer added.
But why Trump is weird: The only thing that sets him apart from the guests on my show is the fact that he has this bullshit. [that] He knew how to rule the world and he led the country. “When he really knows … nothing about how you run the country and we paid the price,” Springer added.
