Thus, for the given period of last year, 3.63 million tons of grain were exported.
Since the beginning of the current marketing year, 1.25 million tons of corn (67% of the total supply), 444 thousand tons of wheat (23.5%) and 165 thousand tons of barley (8.8%) have been shipped abroad.
It was noted that recently the export rate for the reporting period increased by 36%.
In general, from the beginning of MY 2022/2023 and until August 5, Ukraine exported 444 thousand tons of wheat (2.8 times less compared to the same date in 2021/2022), 165 thousand tons of barley ( 8 times less) and 4.7 thousand tons of flour (2.9 times less). However, the pace of corn exports exceeded last year’s volumes – 1.25 million tons were exported, which is 19.1% more than in 2021/2022 MY.
It should be noted that in 2021/2022 MY, Ukraine exported 48.51 million tons of grain and leguminous crops, which is 8.4% higher than the previous MY.
It will be recalled that on July 22, an agreement was signed in Istanbul on the launch of a “grain corridor” from Ukraine. It started on August 1. Ukraine hopes to significantly increase grain exports – by about $10 billion.
