The sale of state-owned enterprises will continue from September 1. In particular, grain elevators and combines will be put up for sale.
Mass privatization should continue in Ukraine from September 1, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said in a conference call with regional leaders.
“We must do this process as quickly as possible,” said the head of government.
According to him, the state is launching grant programs to encourage businesses and people to create jobs as much as possible.
“Small-scale privatization, especially in regions where people in villages and towns know things that have been standing for years and have been used ineffectively, is designed to make it possible to buy these places at a fair price and start working,” Shmyhal said.
It is known that privatization will also allow the expansion of production for farmers. The Ministry of Economy reported that in early September, according to schedule, auctions for elevator capacities and bakeries will be announced.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a list of 420 state-owned enterprises to be transferred to the management of the State Property Fund for further privatization and liquidation.
Recall that privatization in 2021 brought the highest amount of funds in 10 years. Last year, the state budget received UAH 5.1 billion.
