Thus, 678 flights were canceled at Frankfurt am Main Airport, affecting almost 92,000 passengers, at Munich Airport – 345 flights, affecting almost 42,000 passengers. The strike will last until 6:00 am on July 28.
The Ver.di union has called for a warning strike at the height of the tourist season in the course of a tariff dispute with airline management. It called for a 9.5% pay rise for around 20,000 airline employees and a minimum hourly wage of 13 euros.
