From the beginning of 2022, the businesses of Rinat Akhmetov’s group paid 1.2 billion euros in taxes. However, the situation is getting worse.

In the first half of 2022, SCM group companies transferred approximately 1.2 billion euros of tax contributions to the state budget, which became the largest private taxpayer in the country during the war. This was reported by the German edition Tagesspiegel, citing an interview with businessman Rinat Akhmetov.

“Akhmetov’s SCM Group is the largest taxpayer and investor in the country. In the first half of this year, his companies paid 1.2 billion euros in taxes and budget fees,” the newspaper wrote.

At the same time, Akhmetov himself said in an interview that the economic situation is deteriorating along with the growing destruction of businesses and infrastructure by Russian troops.

“The situation is very complicated. I expect a significant decline in production and sales, which will affect both the country’s economic indicators and tax revenues,” he said.

Recall that SCM previously said that they spend $ 1 million a day to help Ukraine.

The occupiers destroyed about 70 SCM businesses
