It was established that at least 70 businesses of the SCM group suffered at the hands of the occupiers. The number of injuries continues.

The Russian occupiers seized and destroyed about 70 SCM businesses of businessman Rinat Akhmetov. The League reported this citing the words of Marni Cheek, partner of law firm Covington & Burling LLP, SCM’s representative at ECtHR.

“The list is not final because of the active fighting, it has not yet been assessed in dollars, euros or hryvnias. It is a cover for the damage caused throughout Ukraine to approximately 70 businesses of Akhmetov and the SCM investment group,” said the lawyer.

According to DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko, only in the energy business of Akhmetov, we are talking about “tens of billions of dollars” of losses.

LIGA.net received from SCM data the losses of HarvEast agricultural holding: 97,000 hectares of the company in the Donetsk region, and 26,000 in the regions of Kyiv and Zhytomyr, where the fighting took place.

According to open sources, Russia has taken control of grain and bulk carriers in Mariupol and is using them to load stolen HarvEast grain and Metinvest metal.

Recall that Akhmetov filed a lawsuit against Russia with the ECHR for the destruction of Ukrainian infrastructure. The losses of SCM’s businesses are estimated at $ 20 billion.
