Ukraine this week will be able to export electricity to Slovakia. This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday, July 5, citing data from the NPC Ukrenergo.
“Ukraine will start exporting imports of 50 MW of electricity in the direction of Slovakia from July 7,” the report said.
According to the terms of the daily auctions announced today for July 7 (announced two days before the start of delivery-ed.), The capacity of electricity exports to Romania, as well as the imports from it, have been reduced from this date from 100 MW to 50 MW.
Recall that on June 27, the European network of system operators for power transmission ENTSO-E agreed to start commercial exports of the first 100 MW to Europe. Romania became the first direction for deliveries. Planned based on the results of Romanian auctions, the issue of opening routes to Slovakia and Hungary will be considered, but generally at a capacity of 100 MW. Over time, it is planned to increase it.
At the same time, import-export of electricity to Romania for 100 MW began on June 30. During the week of auctions, the proceeds from the sale of Ukrenergo access to cross-section reached UAH 106 million. The number of auction winners ranged from five to nine bidders.
