One of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of hardware and software has announced the termination of employment in the Russian Federation.

The American company IBM ceased operations in Russia and began laying off employees. This was reported on June 7 by Reuters.

“As the effects of the war continue to intensify and uncertainty grows about its long -term consequences, we have made the decision to systematically stop IBM’s business in Russia,” said IBM CEO Arvind Krishna.

He noted that several hundred IBM employees work in Russia.

“Our colleagues in Russia who are not to blame have gone through months of stress and uncertainty … I want to assure them that IBM will continue to support them and will take all reasonable steps to provide support,” he added. it is Krishna.

Recall that in March, IBM condemned the Russian invasion, stopped selling the technology to the Russian Federation and refused to cooperate with Russian military organizations.

Earlier it was reported that the German concern Siemens was leaving the Russian market due to the Russian Federation’s full invasion of Ukraine.
