Naftogaz will receive a 300 million euro loan for gas

Ukraine’s Naftogaz will receive a 300 million euro loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, said the Deputy Head of the EBRD in Ukraine Irina Kravchenko, Ukrinform writes on Friday, May 20.

The bank also plans to allocate 50 million euros to Ukrzaliznytsia to support liquidity, and another 100 million euros to support agro-industrial companies, food retailers, and pharmaceutical companies.

According to Kravchenko, these projects define the set of priorities for the work of the bank in Ukraine: food and energy security, support for trade. The bank also focuses on municipal and logistics projects.

The bank representative noted that after the start of the war, the EBRD reformed its work in Ukraine and intends to support the country’s renewal program.

It should be noted that Naftogaz recently reported that the company was completed last year with net income of UAH 12 billion.
