At a forum in Germany, the CEO of DTEK spoke about how Ukraine will help Europe eliminate energy dependence on Russia.
Ukraine is ready to take part in the “derussification” of energy supply in Europe. How exactly the Ukrainian energy sector can help eliminate energy dependence on Russia was explained by Maxim Timchenko, CEO of DTEK, during the Energy Ukraine forum in Berlin.
The company noted that in order to abandon Russia’s energy resources, it is important to completely change the European Union’s energy security strategy.
“Ukraine is ready to take part in the process of‘ de-Russification ’of European energy supply and become a reliable partner in the EU’s updated energy strategy,” Timchenko said.
The forum also discussed the state of Ukrainian energy infrastructure, the need for its support and promised cooperation with politicians and businessmen from Ukraine, Germany and at the EU level.
The forum was organized by the German Eastern Business Association and held in collaboration with the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), Federation of German Industry (BDI) and German-Ukrainian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK). and supported by NRW.Global Business.
Recall that since March 16, Ukraine has connected its power grids to Europeans without the right of commercial overflow-export-import. In Ukraine, they call to change conditions and allow the export of electricity to the EU.
