As a result of Russia’s attack on Ukraine, SCM’s businesses lost approximately $ 20 billion in assets, the company will seek compensation from the Russian Federation for all losses. The owner of SCM, businessman Rinat Akhmetov, spoke about it in an interview with Italian TV channel RAI.
“We will definitely submit claims to the Russian Federation for full compensation for all losses caused by the Russian military aggression,” the businessman said.
He noted that the pre -war capitalization of Mariupol’s metallurgical plants was $ 10 billion, including $ 1 billion in finished products and raw materials.
In general, since the beginning of the war, Russian troops have completely or partially destroyed dozens of industrial infrastructure and energy facilities.
“The capitalization of these facilities before the start of the war reached more than 20 billion US dollars,” Akhmetov added.
Earlier, Akhmetov said he intended to rebuild Mariupol’s metallurgical plants and help restore the city destroyed by Russian occupiers after its de-occupation.
