This year, Ukraine as a whole must pay 584 billion hryvnias on its debts, the forecast increased by 12 billion hryvnias.
The Ministry of Finance raised the forecast for payments on public debt in 2022 of UAH 11.84 billion compared to the April forecast – up to UAH 584.1 billion, according to data on the agency’s website.
The largest amount of payments decreased in April -June – UAH 167.94 billion, in July -September – UAH 147.31 billion, in October -December – UAH 133.51 billion.
In 2022, the Ministry of Finance increased payments on domestic debt of UAH 13.97 billion, to UAH 454.92 billion, and reduced payments on external debt of UAH 2.14 billion, to UAH 129.18 billion.
Most payments were made in February – UAH 75.78 billion, and also in May – UAH 61.79 billion.
The Ministry of Finance also raised the forecast for payments on public debt in 2023 of UAH 22.53 billion to UAH 423.44 billion.
In 2024, payments in the amount of UAH 352.63 billion are expected.
According to IMF forecasts, in 2022 the state budget deficit of Ukraine will grow to 17.8% of GDP from 4% in 2021.
And Ukraine’s state debt in 2022 will grow by 37% – up to 86.2% of GDP after dropping from 61% to 49% of GDP last year.
