Ukrainian business at war is actively looking for new routes for grain exports abroad.

Ukraine increased exports of agricultural products more than five times in April, said Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Solsky, Economic Truth writes on Tuesday, May 3.

According to him, about 1.1 million tons of grain, oil, food were exported in April, while in March it was less than 200,000 tons.

“The business is actively looking for new routes and opportunities for grain exports. This became possible due to the well-coordinated work of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Ukrzaliznytsia and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy,” the minister added.

Earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that Ukraine had found at least three options for exporting products during the war. Instead of ports for grain exports, they began to use rail, but the volume of deliveries was several times lower.

Also at the end of April, began to export Ukrainian grain through the port of Romania.
